May 2009

May brought some beautiful weather and many fun events.  The month was filled with several birthdays, Tracy’s, our niece Ye Rin, friend Wendy, friend Tammy, and brother Dave.  Tracy and I with my parents went to the Utica, Ohio Ice Cream Festival for the first time during Memorial day weekend.  It was a very nice time, which of course included lots of ice cream to eat.  We will probably go back again in the future.  On Memorial Day we got together with Tracy’s family to celebrate the birthdays for May and June.  Tracy, Mom, Dad, and I ended May with the Gahanna/New Albany Relay for Life.  It was beautiful weather and walked to help raise money for the cure.  The relay started out with a survivor’s dinner which my father went to and then to start the walking part of the relay all the survivor’s and their caregivers took the track and walked the first lap.  It is amazing to see all of these individuals so proud that they are here for another day, the hope in their faces just send a joy in all that watch.  If any of you have a chance to go to a relay or race that raises funds for medical cures should go whether to participate or just to watch, because it will be a place you will see God’s work in progress.

God Bless and Enjoy Life,

Tracy and Rebecca
