The Heat is on! July 2011

Sunday, July 31st, 2011

We started the month out with Isabel’s 6 month doctor visit.  She is growing well and the doctor was very impressed with her development.  Then over the fourth of July weekend we made a trip to the Columbus Zoo.  We had a nice time as usual and stayed cool.  The next weekend Uncle Tom and Aunt Deb were up from WV.  So we had a cookout at brother Dave’s and then went up the next day to do some more visiting.  It was their first meeting with Isabel.   Third weekend we went to Chillicothe to celebrate mom’s birthday by going to Lake Hope and feeding the hummingbirds.  Mom was the only lucky one in our group to get a hummingbird fed.  The Nature Center there had some nice displays and Isabel really have fun petting all the furs they had to see.  Last couple of weekends were spent at home and catching up on house work and other things needed to be finished around the house.   Ended the month going to visit a girlfriend while she had a girls party for us.  Nice short visit will have to get together later next month.

As for Isabel’s updates.  She is growing and learning new things all the time.  She started setting on her own late last month and now can even pull herself up in a sitting position.  She also started to pull herself to her feet and loves it.  Started pulling up on her knees and even up to her feet on her own by the end of the month.  We had to lower her mattress since she showed us how she could be standing in her crib.  She now has four teeth and more ready to pop in any week.  Worst part of the teething has been the runny nose and a little bit of tender gums when the teeth are almost through.  On to next month and we are excited to see what she will do next.  Soda is doing ok with Isabel becoming more mobile, but when she becomes faster than Soda have to see how being tackled makes her feel.  Isabel is so intrigued with Soda and talks to her all the time.

God Bless,

Rebecca, Tracy, Isabel, and Soda

Summer Blooms 2011

Tuesday, July 5th, 2011

The month started off celebrating my birthday and going out with some wonderful girlfriends for May/June birthdays.  We celebrated seven wonderful years by going out for dinner and a movie.  Tracy had his first Father’s Day and on the same day Isabel was baptized.  We had a wonderful group of friends and family to support Isabel and wonderful time afterwards with a light lunch.

Isabel had her third tooth break through and working on three more.  She also started to sit up on her own and likes to pull herself up to a standing position.  She is getting introduced to several new foods, carrots, squash, green beans, and sweet potatoes.

God Bless,

Rebecca, Tracy, Isabel, and Soda
