Here Comes Peter Cottontail…2011

Monday, May 2nd, 2011

Well, we definitely had a month of April Showers…  We had several exciting milestones this month.  We celebrated many birthdays for the month; Brody’s first birthday, Jacob’s 16th birthday, and Ross’s 64th birthday.  Tracy’s Aunt Karen and Grandma DeGroot visited and it was fun to get to see them and for them to meet newer members of the family.  Isabel took her first of many trips to the Columbus Zoo.  We just stayed inside at the Aquarium part of the Zoo.  She loved watching the fish swim around kept her entertained for a couple of hours and then we (the adults) were ready to call it a day.  We celebrated Easter in Chillicothe as usual, but found a car with two adults, a baby, and dog really was lacking in space.  However, we had lots of fun and Isabel enjoyed her first Eater.  She reached in and grabbed things out of her basket and started chewing on them.  Surprised us all with that one.  After traveling in crampped space, we bought a minivan and now have plenty of room.  Mom and I ended the month by doing our normal mother/daugther outting to Women of Faith.  We enjoyed that time together while Isabel spent the two days with dad and grandpa.  Plus a lunch visit with grandma McCoy.

As for updates with Isabel, she has been going to daycare while we are at work and adjusting very well.  She talks to the other kids and loves to be in the jumper/bounce thing.  She had croup for a week and that would be her first time being sick.  When we went to the doctor they checked her weight and she was 16 1/2 pounds and starting to cut teeth.  They have not pierced the gums yet, but you can see them very well and she is chewing on anything and drooling like crazy.  Isabel went to Easter Sunday church and to our church for the first time this month and everyone made over her like crazy.  She made sure to smile at everyone when they would talk to her and even talk back to some of them.  She also has found her feet this month.

This month was filled with a lot of first for us and we are enjoying every minute of it.  Hope you all are well and enjoying life too.

God Bless,

Rebecca, Tracy, Isabel, and Soda
